TOOELE CO., UT – A pickup truck driver sustained serious injuries Monday after his vehicle collided with a semi-truck along a highway in northwest Utah.
The accident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on UT-138, which runs through Marshall and Grantsville in northwest Tooele County.
The investigation thus far indicates that a pickup truck overturned multiple times after hitting an 18-wheeler while trying to pass it.
The driver of the semi-truck did not sustain injuries in the crash.
Medics airlifted the driver of the pickup truck to the hospital in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
