Narrative
SALT LAKE CITY, UT – A motorcyclist died Monday after colliding with another vehicle along the interstate in western Salt Lake City.
The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-80, or the Dwight D. Eisenhower Highway, near 7200 W.
Police say the 54-year-old biker experienced brake issues when traffic slowed and lost control of their Harley Davidson. The Harley crashed into another vehicle on the interstate, ejecting the rider.
Authorities have not yet identified the deceased.
Officials closed roads in the area of the crash while crews worked to clear the scene.
