MURRAY, UT – A car crash left a Utah Highway Patrol Trooper and two people injured on the I-215 Tuesday morning.
According to KUTV, the crash occurred because a car swerved off the road and hit the trooper. During the collision, the trooper was parked on the side of the road, initiating a traffic stop. The trooper’s vehicle was parked behind the car he cited.
Three cars collided with a patrol car, and the force of the crash caused the cruiser to slam into the vehicle that was cited.
It is unknown if charges will follow the incident, but the Murray Police Department is investigating the crash.
