SALT LAKE CITY, UT – An officer was injured and their vehicle was damaged when a suspect decided to flee from a traffic stop near Millcreek late last month.
According to KUTV, a suspect with outstanding warrants overtook the vehicle he was in that was pulled over for an inoperable taillight. The incident started around 300 East and 3900 South in Millcreek.
He sped off from the scene and struck a police vehicle, drove into oncoming traffic, and ultimately crashed the vehicle near 980 South and 160 West. A woman who had been driving the vehicle before the chase was involved in the crash.
Officers were able to pin the vehicle and arrest the man. Two police cars were damaged and one officer sustained injuries.
