SANDY, UT – A man went to the hospital Thursday with serious injuries following a two-vehicle crash at a busy intersection in south-central Salt Lake County.
The incident occurred around 7:50 a.m. at the intersection of Highland Drive and 9400 South in the city of Sandy.
Police say that a southbound vehicle turned left from Highland Drive in front of a motorcycle, causing the two vehicles to collide.
Medics transported the motorcyclist to the hospital with critical injuries.
The other driver went to the hospital with minor injuries.
Officials say speed may have been a factor in the crash.
