LEHI, UT – A semi-truck driver sustained injuries Tuesday in a collision with a dump truck along a major roadway in north-central Utah County.
The accident happened just after 8 a.m. on the southbound side of Redwood Road, or UT-68.
The investigation indicates that the 18-wheeler rear-ended a dump truck hauling a trailer, causing significant damage to the front end of the semi.
The driver of the dump truck was not hurt in the crash, while the semi-truck driver went to the hospital with moderate injuries.
Officials closed a large section of Redwood Road while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
